this is EXTREMELY specific, but i'm looking for video games in the vein of Endless Ocean: Blue World and Road Trip Adventure.

Specifically, games that:
* feel simultaneously high-budget and low-budget
* have a large number of "design appendices" (large high-concept sections that don't really feed into other areas)
* are continuously surprising, but almost as though by accident
* are completely sincere with their bizarre design choices, not a hint of irony

@hypolite @LogicalDash Mostly for the fourth-wall breaking narration akin to Getting Over It. I do not know any other game with simple controls creating punishing difficulty through the precision/coordination they require to progress. Maybe Flappy Bird but it lacks Foddy's cheekiness.
